Samantha Miller began clarinet lessons at the age of seven and gained her ABRSM grade 8 by the time she was thirteen. Later that year she became a member of Essex Young Peoples Orchestra (EYPO) as a clarinetist, and in 2004 she joined as a bassoonist.

By the time Samantha was sixteen, she took the position of principal clarinetist of Essex Youth Symphonic Wind Orchestra, conducted by Charles Hine. Throughout Samantha's years at Colchester Sixth Form College she was approached to join a number of ensembles including Essex Wind Quintet encouraging her to become an enthusiastic orchestral and ensemble instrumentalist.

In 2006 Samantha began studying music at Colchester Institute where she later graduated with honours, taking Clarinet lessons under the tutelage Charles Hine and Bassoon lessons with Steve Lock. During the course, she explored many aspects of Clarinet repertoire including jazz and contemporary classical music, also exploring orchestral playing with the bassoon.

Now a music graduate, Samantha is a music teacher and instrumentalist in Essex and Suffolk. Her sessions include tuition for clarinet, bassoon, piano and recorder, complimented by useful musicianship skills. She has performed Lunchtime concerts, also approached by local composers to premier new works for clarinet.

Samantha has played with a number of orchestras including Reiner Hersch's 'Last Night of The Proms...Ever', Essex Youth Orchestra (EYO) at the Cardogan Hall London, and various pit bands including The Mikado, Orpheus and the Underworld, My Fair Lady and most recently Oklahoma.
